After that, assuming Ronnie is healthy, so are our RB's. If we keep Thigpen as our 2nd then I really like our depth at QB as well. And the last area of strength is our D-line. I believe that Parcells will find an NT by using two of our draft picks & although that player might not be ready to start the season, I also believe that player will contribute this season. We Have Playmakersnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1624420118244025974.post-72066105207723957852010-03-17T08:52:39.000-07:002010-03-17T08:52:39.000-07:00Herd,

Clearly the Rams have been an awful team for the last few years as well HOWEVER I don't view that as a viable excuse. I believe the term "professional athlete" means that you conduct yourself as a professional whether you win or lose. For example I don't recall Vernon Carey incurring personal foul after personal foul & he played for two of the worst Dolphin teams I have ever seen (the last Wannstadt season & the Cam Cameron experience).

What is strange about this signing is that it is completely counter to what Parcells preaches about wanting high character guys. I trust that Sparano (being a former O-line coach) is a pretty good judge of what it takes to be a quality G but this guy Incognito has to get a grip if he's going to push to be a starter. We Have Playmakersnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1624420118244025974.post-61628764081121094392010-03-17T08:52:36.000-07:002010-03-17T08:52:36.000-07:00Incognito was only with the Bills for about a mont...Incognito was only with the Bills for about a month.Tinshakernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1624420118244025974.post-53144823743054050662010-03-17T08:50:03.000-07:002010-03-17T08:50:03.000-07:00They're going to look at Incognito at both gua...They're going to look at Incognito at both guard spots. Frankly, I kind of like bad boys, but that's another topic entirely!! lol The thing is, I read all this draft and free agent stuff and everyone has what they think is a bead on what the trifecta is going to do and from my vantage point of following for a little under two years, I don't see it. They drafted Pat White last year who everyone said they wouldn't do and they are obviously showing interest in players that for one reason or another don't fit their prototype.

I happen to think that a player's actions on one team may not be indicative of what he's going to do on another. In the right system, with different players and coaches around them, I think they can be completely different. Incognito has been with the Bills who have been in a state of disarray for a long time. Could be the behavior is frustration with the situation he's in.

Or maybe not! There are guys who come to mind when considering Incognito, like Conrad Dobler and Kevin Mawae who were considered among the nastiest players in the league and yet have had long careers. The biggest difference between these guys and our boy Richie is penalties, untimely penalties that have cost his team victories.

The upside is the same as the downside, every team wants mean, nasty offensive linemen, but mean and nasty is rarely a button that can be turned off and on. There is also the character message the Dolphins have professed to be so important. As we’ve seen here with folks like Tin and Herd, fans care about that message but one has to wonder whether the message outweighs the final goal, winning football games…

There is not a lot of monetary risk associated with this guy. If he is signed there will be all kinds of character incentives and let’s face it, the guy is one head butt away from being banned from the league. I would sign him for a couple reasons; one being that he will bring an intensity to practice that will help other players elevate their games and two, they can cut his ass the moment he steps over the line. A few fans feelings will get hurt and a message gets clouded but in the end we all want to beat the stinking Jets and the Patriots and the Bills and getting there sometimes means doing a few things that might hurt a few feelings along the way.
Patricknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1624420118244025974.post-35117516539208732052010-03-16T21:00:16.000-07:002010-03-16T21:00:16.000-07:00Try the ferry Godmothers from UGAY....Try the ferry Godmothers from UGAY....Fangnoreply@blogger.com
