Good to see today that Coach Sparano said the current Depth Chart has 'no rhyme or reason' and that 'it's hard for me to do that with a real clear conscience [right now]'. When asked when the Depth Chart would have significance to him, he simply said 'Atlanta'.
Keep in mind that I update MY depth chart every time there's a transaction, but it's there for reference and for fun. If you see someone at a position and you disagree with me, keep in mind, it is based solely on where that player is reported as working, it is not opinion-based.
Since practice isn't til the afternoon, I thought we'd take a look at some other things going on around the division:

Since practice isn't til the afternoon, I thought we'd take a look at some other things going on around the division:
- Terrell Owens did not report to practice this morning. T.O. has turf toe.
- Tom Brady says he plans to play in the pre-season opener. I'd actually be surprised if he plays. If he does it will only be for one series and they'll probably hand the ball off on every play.
- The Jets had one of their practices cancelled yesterday due to weather. Don't they have indoor facilities up there? For the record, the Jets and the Pats have both cancelled practices in the last week.
- The Dolphins have signed yet another fullback - Joe Kowalewski. He's a former Jet. He was released after the Jets drafted Dustin Keller in the 1st round, making this former undrafted mini-camp tryout guy expendable. I don't know why he didn't play on any level in 2008.
- Matt Roth is on the sideline wearing a Fedora.
- Will Billingsley is still dropping balls.
- Mike Berardino is still stalking Matt Roth.
I have to say, Henne seemed pretty accurate to me in this little glimpse. Both Pennington and White seemed to not be able to get the ball all the way there on the out pattern.
- Seems like the only beat writer to update today is Armando, for a change. But once again he shows that he doesn't know much about the Dolphins or football in general: "The Dolphins need to become a left-handed team eventually because they're two best run-blockers are on the left. Interestingly, they were more right-handed last year." First of all, Armando, the correct word is THEIR. Secondly, the Dolphins ran to the right more because a) they have one of the best pulling guards in the league in Justin Smiley, and guess what, he lines up on the left, so he pulls to the right. Also, we had this little thing called the Wildcat, in which we had an 'unbalanced' line, with all our best run-blockers up on the right side. THAT is why we ran to the right more.
- Armando also states that Patrick Turner got back into the swing of things today after falling off radar for a couple of days.
- Vontae Davis had an interception in team drills.
- And finally, Donald Thomas got some reps with the first team during team drills.
The Jets cancelled their practices yesterday due to weather? It was sunny and hot (mid 90s) yesterday. Maybe they can't handle the heat. LOL
ReplyDeleteRex Ryan probably has to sit down too often so he doesn't shit his pants.
I thought you were in Jersey? Don't you know the Jets are practicing in
ReplyDeleteupstate NY? I would think Cortland is pretty far from you. Actually I heard
they are practicing in THREE different places.
I thought the Jets practiced in Florham Park, NJ? I'm not that far from there.

Cortland, NY is quite far from me.
Does his cereal taste like him?
ReplyDeleteThey have practices in Cortland SUNY and at Hofstra, Hempstead.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't know, I have tasted neither.
ReplyDeleteRight, I just looked it up, they practice at all 3 locations.
ReplyDeleteTurf toe? Ruined OJ McDuffies career.
ReplyDeleteThat ain't good news if you're a Bills or TO fan!
I just wish some of this bad luck on the Patriots, why should the Jets and the Bills be the only dolphin rivals with these sorts of problems? :)
Tin, your site is loading much faster on my machines today. Did you change something or is it just randomness?
ReplyDeleteOh, the Pats have had all sorts of problems with injuries. Not quite as bad
ReplyDeleteas last year, but it's early yet. They've lost at least 3 players for the
year with a few other banged up guys.
Turf toe can keep a guy off the field for quite some time.
ReplyDeleteDo those ears help you hear better? LOL
ReplyDeletejust random. you know what it might be, all those photo thumbnails from a
ReplyDeletefew days ago might've moved off the front page or maybe it's one of the
video blogs...basically less cache to load up. I had some issues at home
yesterday too, took a good ten seconds or so.
Yep...I bet you're right. Cheers.
ReplyDeleteAnyone see a pic of OJ's turf toe? Holy fucking disgusting Batman!!! It made Brain Baldinger's pinkie look almost normal and that is not an easy task.
ReplyDeleteHow does one see a pic of OJ's toe? Baldinger's finger always looks like it's trying to pick someone else's nose.
