Preface: I wish I had known about this earlier in the year but since most of us are from warm weather climates, it's still appropriate.
The internet is just so full it's impossible to know whats going on all the time and I admit to being late to discover this site. Former Miami Dolphins All-Pro Linebacker, John Offerdahl is enjoying a post-football career in front of the grill and has his own website, The Gridiron Griller, where he offers recipes, videos, interviews, etc. He even offers his grilling services to the public. Imagine having Offerdahl at your Sunday tailgating!
He can also be followed on Twitter, where you can read about stuff like his recent knee injury: "Did u hear? My knee buckled last Monday in workouts & my old (& still current) Dolphins team doctor, Dr Kannel had me in surgery Tuesday..."
Here's the latest Sample from The Gridiron Griller featuring someone you may recognize:
Obviously, John has a passion for food rivaled only by his passion on the football field. I remember living in South Florida when he had a chain of bagel stores before bagel store chains were all the rage. In fact, he sold that chain and it was turned into THE bagel store chain, Einstein's Bagels.
Since then, he has opened Offerdahl's Cafe Grill, which currently has eight locations in South Florida. I checked, there's no donut burger on the menu, but they do serve grilled chicken breast sandwiches for lunch and sell several pastries, so the possibilities are there for the imaginative!

ReplyDeleteThe Falcons will experience
ReplyDeleteChad(Pennington)’s Super-Stuffed Chops
on Sunday afternoon!
I think Offerdahl started out with a bagel chain. It's good to see him doing well. He was a great player that eventually couldn't escape the injury bug.
ReplyDelete"I think Offerdahl started out with a bagel chain"
ReplyDeletemore proof you don't READ my posts....

ReplyDeleteSorry Tin. LOL
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I sometime speed read and skip stuff if I think it's just fluff. Not just your stuff but everything (LOL). In this case I skipped important details so my bad. : )
It's because it was a personal recollection right? you read "I remember..."
ReplyDeleteand thought to yourself oh no, not again!
you mean we are suppose to read the article, i thought we were just suppose to blog
ReplyDeleteIt was "Obviously, John has a passion for food rivaled only by his passion on the football field." I thought it would more about the kind of apron he wears and how he got his passion for food. I know why people have a passion for food, because it tastes good and they like to eat. LOL
ReplyDeleteI know you don't get much time to read in between your appearances at the
ReplyDeleteGalaxy...
That's not a passion, that's a 'hunger'!
ReplyDeletepassion implies you're working with it.
I can't figure out why my comments are coming out as 'Miami Dolphins Blog'
ReplyDeletePeople who like to work with food like to eat who are we kidding. LOL
ReplyDeleteI was going to ask you why you became Miami Dolphins Blog? I thought maybe it was because of our other conversation on the other blog about trolls.
no, it's more of the same technical issues with this commenting software.
