Dolphins @ Bills

The Dolphins waived DB Evan Oglesby and signed DL Ryan Baker from their practice squad. Oglesby was just signed on Tuesday, but the Dolphins needed to call up a defensive lineman with Lionel Dotson out.  Justin Smiley will play as a reserve - Nate Garner starts at LG, Joe Berger starts at C.

Dolphins Inactives:  RB Kory Sheets, WR Patrick Turner, C Jake Grove, third QB Tyler Thigpen, LB Erik Walden, DE Lionel Dotson, DE Ikaika Alama-Francis, and OT Lydon Murtha.
Bills Inactives:  WR James Hardy, CB Ashton Youboty, third QB Brian Brohm, DE Chris Ellis, OT Demetrius Bell, DT John McCargo, WR Steve Johnson, and CB Terrence McGee

It sounds like Soliai will play NT on early downs and short yardage where McDaniel will play NT on passing downs and long distance situations. Then we'll use our hybrid 4 man line some of the time.

It will be interesting to see if we have anything at DE in Francis and Baker. Not sure we'll see much of them this year but next season. I wonder if they can push Dotson for his spot. He hasn't been able to beat the current group for playing time. He could get picked off next year. I thought Baker looked good at times in the preseason. Francis is a 2007 2nd round pick so he has some talent.

We've really deepened our 3-4 defensive depth at DE and OLB. Next is NT and ILB.

  3. is Tin still recovering from that abysmal fourth quarter? Egads. We were better prepared for the Panthers after 4 days rest than the Bills at 10.

Personally, I would like to see us win the rest of the games out, just to end the season on a high note, but I don't want to go to the playoffs and get pummeled again. We are just not ready.

I need you guys to tell me who to look for in the draft :)

  4. SLush,Theres a bunch a VERY GOOD prospects @ the positions of most need,(early & late)!!!

To name a couple of MY FAVS that probably won't fall to the 20s or so,NT's(TCody,NSuh),among others..

MY EARLY FAVORITE WRs Brandon LaFell,or (coll ineligable,DezBryant),among numerous others..
HOPE DBryant or a TOP 5 falls to us in the 2nd rnd b/c BPs not likely to go WR in the 1st
considering our 4th qtr D,his personal history, theres a PLETHORA of BP type WRs,
and theres no GUARANTEED CAN'T MISS WR in the draft that's worth a 1st rnd risk,
(UNLESS THE TOP GUY over 6-2,210 w'reasonable speed falls to us),but STILL UNLIKELY,IMHO!!

AGAIN,Theres a ton of TALENTED gyz worthy of a spot somewhere in our draft @ ALL positions of need!!

Here's an easily manipulated prospect-site to help'ya get started..
They've really up-graded from last yr,
and INDUVIDUALIZED EVERY POSSIBLE POSITION,(NT/DT,3-4LB/4-3LB etc)
    to help make it easier...
(But don't take EVERY THOUGHT to heart),
their not perfect,(don't know why SUH's not listed as a possible NT),
it'll come-out via "OUR" redundant discussions
but hope this easily manged site helps out!!

  5. I suspect we'll target in order (subject to change) NT,WR,LBs,DBs/S,RB,and TE also,
(pretty much every position) w'the top 3 of higher priority, bottom 3 best available plyr @ said positions...

Who KNOWS MAYBE PTurner show's the regime something behind closed doors b/4 Apr??
They'll also be some nice WR/other position FAs out there that could turn my early draft thoughts inside-out!!
So pay no mind to my thoughts either,LOL!!!  :)

  6. I would be very shocked if we didn't draft two WRs in 2010, regardless of
    how free agency pans out.
