Offensive Coordinator choices take a turn for the 'you must be kidding me!'

The Dolphins are also interested in interviewing Dalls TE Coach, John Garrett and another former colleague of Tony Sparano's - Chris Palmer, who has held about 20 positions in 30 years, never being employed for more than 3 seasons in a row.  He retired from the NFL one year ago, and then coached a UFL team.

Palmer worked alongside Sparano at U of New Haven, Boston U, Cleveland, and Dallas.  Palmer was Head Coach at NH, Boston and Cleveland while Tony was an assistant.  In Palmer's two years as Head Coach of the Cleveland Browns, they went 2-14 and 3-13 after using his first overall draft pick on QB Tim Couch.

John Garrett, the younger brother of Dallas' new Head Coach, Jason Garrett, has no coordinator experience but he did serve as Al Groh's assistant Head Coach for one season.  If he is the chosen candidate, it's likely his first day on the job would include a new contract for Anthony Fasano, one of his proteges.

Realistically, Rob Chudzinski is the best candidate for the job and the other two just reek of nepotism.  Replacing Dan Henning with Chris Palmer is essentially handing the job back to Dan Henning again.  Garrett has little experience to work with and let's face it, we don't want any Dallas cast-offs.  If Jason Garrett doesn't want his own brother on staff, why would we?
