He's going, going, Ginn!

Hey everyone, hope you're having or have had a good holiday weekend.

I have been AWOL from this site and have had a good weekend.

So now to prepare everyone for going back to work, here is a little downer:

Ginn has had 5 touchdowns called back in just two years, and all 5 of them were not his fault. This means (A) Ginn deseves more credit than he gets and (B) he really should be returning punts and kicks. He is a dynamic returner and he won't have all that speed and change of direction forever, so it seems a waste to me to not utilize it.

  1. O spends more time on twitter than his blog these days.  But to be honest there's nothing going on right now anyway.  I had planned to post a big Jake Long article on the weekend but got too busy with family.  I'm sure Omar has the same excuse :)

  2. Field position means everything in football, and to sacrifice that for the sake of having him available every down in the passing game is RETARDED.  Its not like he's a number ONE receiver, lol.

With our newly added rookies and seasoned Bess/Camarillo/London/Wilford, I would expect to see Ginn go back to returning kicks this year.  He is more dangerous with the ball in his hands than without it.

\nI\'ve been saying this all along.  :-D \n \nI think last year the coaches really wanted Ted to work on being a WR. Maybe now he can handle more responsibilities.

  6. "and seasoned Bess/Camarillo/London/Wilford" tin

...lol ...Wilford is is soooooooooo "seasoned" lets just call him "done" already. eh.

...and I'm not a Ginn basher per se, I just can't get it out of my head that he pulled up rather than throw a block to spring a teammate ...its going to take some radical improvement on his part this year to clear THAT memory.

...that said, one of the reasons he was picked in the first place was his return ability ...so lets give him EVERY opportunity to light up the scoreboard no matter how he does it.

  7. I was being very literal when I said "seasoned" as in, went through a season together.

Wilford was done the second he discovered oreos.

Ginn runs kicks back like he's running to his house because neighbours reported Wilford had broken in and was raiding the pantry.
