New Practice Squadder

Weakside Linebacker, Ekennemchukwu "KC" Dennis Asiodu, out of Central Oklahoma (transfer from UNLV) is the latest addition to the practice squad. He is listed at 6'3", 240 lbs with a 4.67 40 time.. To make room for him, the Dolphins have released ILB Danny Lansanah.

Asiodu played two years as a defensive back, switching to LB in his Junior year. He was recently released from the St Louis Rams practice squad after signing with them as an undrafted free agent back in May.

With Joey Porter sitting out of practice with a hamstring injury, the Dolphins are likely going to need the extra body at that position to help with the reps.

Tim Graham, of ESPN.com, reports the Miami Dolphins worked out free-agent RB Ryan Torain (Broncos) Tuesday, Sept. 29.

    What's that all about?

    Just throwing it out there?

  4. Didn't Cobbs get a little banged up on Sunday???

  5. No reports of Cobbs missing any practice or injury.

  6. Is that Thigpen trying to have sex with a skeleton or is that you???

  7. Tins,

Just for the record it might be a little early to start discussing potential draft picks.  There is still a another 9 weeks of college football to be played in order to determine the best players & who the hell knows how high our picks are going to be.

I did see that you left out Dez Bryant.  Why???

    ReplyDelete
  8. LOL, what do you think? Why would I post a photo of myself humping a
skeleton in an article about tyler Thigpen?

    ReplyDelete
  9. And what about Mays from USC?  I know he's a little banged up but he's a BALLER.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Tins,

That's an excellent question.  After I read you impersonating Kiper & McShay, I figured you just totally lost it!!!  LOL!!!

Soooo that's our new QB.......A necropheliac???  Still better than Feely.  LOL!!

  11. OMG--And what about Berry from Tennessee???  He's a stud!!!

  12. I can't believe I have had to explain myself so many times here. These are
the players I am going to follow through the season. "Below is a basic table
showing the players I am focusing on during this NCAA season in prep for
    next year's draft."
It is just a preliminary focusing of energies. I cannot obviously watch
every game of every player out there, and I don't rely on highlight reels to
make judgments. Everyone else is watching LaFell and Dez Bryant (who has
been lousy this year, btw, dropping passes and being injured frequently).*
Some players get so much coverage you don't have to follow them intently to
pick up what they're all about.

  13. Once again, I don't see why we'd use a first round pick on a safety. I do
think Mays is good but the frequent injuries is a scary notion. Plus the
trifecta doesn't seem to like really big safeties. Basically the list is of
the players I'm planning to follow throughout the season and I can tell you
I have no interest in forcing myself to watch any USC games. I have a
    personal vendetta against them. :)

    ReplyDelete
  14. Well sorrrrrry!!!  LOL.

Agree about Bryant.  He has not looked good at all in the two games I saw him in.  Still Berry & Mays though???  Come on...........

    ReplyDelete
  15. I watched Berry in two games this season & at least 7 or 8 in his college career.  Not only was he one of the best freshman DB's that I've ever seen, he continues to get better.  Barring an injury, an awful combine showing, a failed drug test, or off the field issues---he's a top 5 pick.

Can't you come up with a list that others will be following? LOL

  19. I hate USC as well but they're on TV a lot!!!  I was very pleased to see Washington win that game.

Personally I enjoy watching the SEC more than any other conference.   I'm hoping that LSU can stick it to Saban this weekend.

Your thoughts on Tate George from Notre Dame???  He's a hell of an athlete.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Do I have to answer the question over and over?
Let me ask you a question..... how high do you think Berry will go and do
    you think:
    a. that Miami will be in that position at the end of this year.
    b. that Miami would cut/trade either Bell/Wilson/Culver in favor of a
    rookie Safety.
I think Berry is one of the top 3 players in the country, but he hasn't
played a down in the NFL. If you draft him with a top 5 pick, he will be
expected to start. Wilson's paycheck means he'll never be a backup. His
salary cap hit means he's unlikely to get released. And despite being 0-3
now, I don't see Miami picking in the top 5 at the end of this. It doesn't
seem like a logical target. Obviously, if he's available when we do pick,
there will be some hard decisions to make, but I'm not going to target him
    at this early stage.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Knight,

Still better!!!  Anything is better than Feely.  How many pick 6's did he throw that year???

    ReplyDelete
  22. Exactly.  We know which players YOU will be following but I'd like my own list thank you very much...LOL!!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Well, since you asked:
Taylor Mays, Eric Berry, Tim Tebow, Colt McCoy, Brandon LaFell, and a bunch
of underclassmen. To me, talking about these guys in September/October, is
like talking about whether or not Randy Moss will be a member of the
Patriots next week. Of course he will. We all know these high-profile
players. We know what they can do. Does no one else have a suggestion for
a position of need player that could be a good target for Miami, besides
    those mentioned above?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Despite Notre Dame being on NBC every week, I have not seen a single ND game
in many years. Nothing against them, I just don't like the fact that NBC is
the Notre Dame only station. After about two abysmal years, I moved on. So
you'll have to tell me about Tate George.

I don't remember. But Feeley gets to get with Heather Mitts.

  26. Tins,

IMO--If Wilson does not redeem himself over the next 13 games & shows that this is what he is, we'll have to cut him.   He's been terrible & I'm being as tactful as possible by saying that.   I'd like to see more of Culver to see what we have & at some point I need to see Clemons as well.

I don't know how high we're drafting but anything is possible after the second half we played in SD.  We need to get some pressure on the other team's QB's & to stop allowing the big plays.  That's for sure!

  27. I think we get our first win vs Buffalo by not making many mistakes and
waiting for them to make several...

Tyler Thigpen's nickname in high school was Pigpen. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  30. Sorry....Called the WR from ND by the wrong name.  It's Golden Tate.  He's only a Junior & he's only 5'11" but he's an extremely impressive athlete.  They were using him at tailback last week & he looked pretty damn good.  Not sure if he has standout combine numbers but I like versatile players like him.  Could be a solid return man as well.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Knight,

Obviously she's not a Dolphin fan!!!  BTW--I still don't get that one.  Maybe she's a dyke???

I think his parents should be locked up...

  34. Has Selvie been playing well this year???  He was M.I.A. in two of the games I watched him play in last year.

No, do you know who Pigpen was?

  38. The Knight who says Ni!September 30, 2009 at 10:48 AM

Notre Dame is the only sports team to have all of their games televised nationally. They bought the rights to have that because... well... they're Notre Dame.

  39. Speaking of 'not dolphin fans', I now know the reason that the Dolphins lost
to the Chargers. They were jinxed by Gloria Estefan giving out Dolphins
jerseys on 'The View' last week. In 20+ years as a fan, i don't think I've
ever felt as low as watching that.

And as you know, We NEED Playmakers.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Yes, he plays well, but gets double teamed on every down. He's made some
good plays this year including a sack with a forced fumble last week at FSU.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Better than naming him O.J.  LOL!!!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Watched some youtube, the Golden kid looks pretty good, but I think the size
would deter the Trifecta. The stuff Golden Tate is doing in these highlight
reels is what they should be using Ginn for. End-arounds, deep outs,
    screens. End of story.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Definitely!!!  LMAO!!!

  46. The Knight who says Ni!September 30, 2009 at 10:54 AM

Oh man, that's bad. But funny. LOL

Do you think a guy with the name Charles Manson Hitler could get elected president of the United States of America?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Tins,

Charlie Weis does an excellent job of getting Tate in open space.  Can this kid adjust to the pro game???  Who knows???  But he's worth watching.  He's an extremely exciting player.  Dare I say, a special player.

If we can give Henne SOME protection, we're going to see Ginn finally be able to use his best attribute--- SPEED!!!   I pray Henne looks half-way decent this week.

  53. The Knight who says Ni!September 30, 2009 at 11:07 AM

The end-arounds seem to have gone bye bye and that's a play we ran real well last year and in the preseason this year.

I think we'll see Henne take some more shots down the field. Not just bombs but deeper routes.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Sure.  Why not???  It's America.  This is still a very anit-semetic & racist country.  I'm still surprised Obama won but voters didn't have much of an option with Grandpa & Medussa (Intelligent design???).  BTW--They still hang Conderate flags in South Carolina.

  55. The Knight who says Ni!September 30, 2009 at 11:10 AM

For the most part Henne has always looked decent. But his playing times has always been sporadic. He finally gets to start a game and finish it. It is possible and probable that we'll see some Wildcat and a few Pat White snaps, but he'll get most of the snaps.

  56. I don't watch it....I get FORCED to watch it, and comment on how stupid it
is. Trust me, I've tried my best to be an unrelenting a-hole while it's
being played back in the house in an attempt to get her to stop watching
it. It's usually on in the background while I'm playing with my kid on the
floor. The last one I saw had gloria estefan on it.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I think he's 1st round talent, but the dropoff in sacks likely brings his
value down. Remember last year, they told him he was valued as a 4th
    rounder....

What is a Conderate flag? LOL

I know what goes along with the Confederate flag, but it's not all about racism and slavery. It's a Southern thing and there is more to it then the bad stuff.

Unfortunately this is an anti-semitic and racist world.
