Alert! Alert!

Have you seen this man, lately?

No, it's not commenter randy!

It's Eddie Blake, former 2nd round draft choice of the Miami Dolphins. They drafted him as a DT and he was a bust, so they moved him to Offensive Line, where he was also a bust. He was released after two season of not getting on the field. After a couple of seasons bouncing around the arena league, he landed a gig in Canada. Click on his photo to see what he's up to today!

  1. Is this Randy? He said he played some nose?

  2. Tin, I played against Blake in high school. He went to juco in Mississippi before transferring to Auburn. His brother(Ricky) was a RB, no college ball(couldn't qualify), played in the World Football League. Ricky was the #1 rated player in the WFL and signed a deal with Dallas and played 1 year as E. Smith's backup. Ricky ran over the top of our safety and it's hardest hit I ever saw in person(like when Herschel Walker ran over Bill Bates in his 1st college game).

  3. No shit, Kent? More proof of how small the world is. Every time I saw mention of the WFL I would immediately think of waffles. Maybe thats why it didn't last?

  4. Tin, If memory serves me correct Shula cut Eddie after he fell asleep during a meeting. I believe his first year there he dropped a 45lb plate on his toe and broke it. You see the picture that I have painted while maintaining political correctness. There are some humorous tales in regards to him but no need to kick a dog when he's down.

  5. Hey, don't hold back, he's one of my favorite Dolphins of all times (for all the wrong reasons). I remember there was talk that he failed the drug test at the combine....and yet we still drafted him.

  6. The time and energy that it took for me to find a photo of this guy online is a testament to the desire by the Dolphins to forget he even existed. It took me months to find his name and photo.

  7. I gotta run for the day, inclement weather moving in. When Eddie got to Auburn, he had to sit out of practice(full contact) because they didn't have a helmet that would fit his head.

  8. That's actually not that funny, I had issues with my helmet too. :(

  9. Eddie Blake was a guard who was drafted by Shula to play NT and when that failed miserably, they tried him back on offense where he failed again. He also had some issues with weed. Blake wasn't motivated to be a pro athlete.

Tin, my article is ready. It's long but I don't want to make it seem like I'm writing the bible. LOL

  10. Tin, black type on a light background is better than knockout white on a dark one. It's tough on the eyes. Too much illumination.

  11. I don't know what to do with you old folks. First randy complains it's too bright, now Bungle complains it's too dark AND bright. I like the black teal and orange...maybe I can tone down the whiteness of the whites lol. This is what happens when a black man becomes president...

  12. LOL

Tin, light colors on an illuminated screen is good for headlines but not body text. In a few years you'll be blind. LOL
