The Future...coming soon!

Well, so far it looks like my predictions are 50/50 with the Ray Lewis one being the decider.

Andre Goodman signed with Denver. Renaldo Hill signed with Denver. We should've re-signed both of them and traded them to denver if Denver wanted Miami's secondary so badly.

Bart Scott did eventually sign with the Jets but he called an audible that could've put me under from the get-go.

And it looks like TJ Houshmandzadeh might be either staying a Bengal or becoming a Viking.

I expect Miami will wait a few days if not longer to see if anyone signs Laveranues Coles in an attempt to low-ball him. They might get a few players that way. Or they might be done shopping.

Oh, and one more thing, I'm thinking it's the end of an era for the Patriots. It started with Brady going down. It continued when they got blown at home and their fans ran scared from the wildcat. Then they failed to make the playoffs. Then Brady got married. And a couple of days later, they traded Vrabel and Cassel to the Chiefs for a second round draft pick. I'm sorry, Pats, but you just got trade-raped!

  1. You see that poll to the right, over there?s The one about John Beck's trade value?s Well, if Matt Cassel and Vrabel picked up a second, then the current value of Beck is MAYBE a 7th at best!

  2. That 2nd pats game was a head scratcher.s I go the impression that the Dolphins' gambled with their game plan.s They probably thought that the Pats would think that the Dolphins would double team Moss all game so the Pats would plan around Welker and Watson so the Dolphins planned to double those guys, but the Pats have always been very good at making adjustments and to be honest, Moss wasn't lighting it up from the get go, but crushed us in the second half.

Very true Tin, we should have adjusted after they did. THe second half was very heartbreaking up in the stands after we were going score for score with them

By the way I usually vote on your pole's for the most unlikely thing that would happen. Your next FA to be resigned, I voted for Hill. Your Beck trade, I vote for a second. Just trying to keep the results mixed

  4. Fair enough, I voted for the Roy Williams trade :)

  5. I've always believed in J Allen, even thought it seems few others do.s I think the media loves to bash on him more than any other Dolphin.s Armando absolutely hates the guy and Omar can't write a sentence with his name in it without putting some sense of fear into it.s The sheep buy into it.s Our secondary turned around NOT when Hill was inserted into the starting line-up but when Allen was put into the nickel formation.s He played the outside and Will Allen would slide into the slot.s And we were instantly better.s It wasn't until he got hurt that things started to slide again.s I still believe he'd make a better safety but I'm confident that with the proper mindset and training he could be a starting quality CB.s I suspect his coach will want to jump ship again next year and will do what he can to make sure his DB unit performs well.

I still think the Dolphins will pick either a CB or a WR with their first selection.s As far as value and a position of need, the CB stands out because there are several of them who can play special teams whereas WRs like Britt/Nicks/etc won't play ST.s They might still go with Percy Harvin!!!
