This just in - Omar Kelly caught ogling big small black man

When confronted on the previous comment he had made Wednesday about Boston College standout defensive tackle BJ Raji being "small", Sun Sentinel beat writer, Omar Kelly, responded by saying, "He's got a huge butt, and tree trunk for legs. But he's small."

He then continued, "But don't get me wrong. He's powerful. But he's a poor man's Sedrick Ellis."

So what did this miniscule descendent of reggae superstar, Bob Marley, mean when he said Raji was "small?" And was he checking out Sedrick Ellis' butt and thighs last year?

Non-attempts to reach the reporter resulted in no further information being available.

BJ Raji turned in an impressive, almost dominant performance in practice Wednesday, egged on by NFL Network's Mike Mayock's "call-out" of the previous day. Now that Kelly has called out Raji's size, it has been reported that Raji will report to practice tomorrow 3 inches taller than he was previously.

Stay tuned for updates...

  2. Guys the Sun Sentinel is ajoke. Omar is terrific, but they still haven't figured out the internet. That's why they will go out of business.

Tin, how much time do you spend studying film? I can't believe how much some of you know about college players.

  3. Ron, I would say I spend SOME time studying recordings of games and practices, but I don't have access to coaches film or anything like that. I generally will watch several games per week after the fact which allows me to not care about the outcome of the game but to focus on individual players.

I do watch Dolphins and USF Bull games religiously though as a fan first. Since i am not a fan of any other teams, I watch their games from more of a scout's angle.

  4. Tin, were you a Bull or just a fan? I transferred from FSU to USF but they didn't have a football program yet. I'm a little torn when they play each other next season.

  5. I graduated from USF in 99 so I was there for the first game in Tampa (80-3). Before that I was a Hurricane fan, but had already started to lose interest since they were on probation/starting to suck at that point. USF is playing UF, FSU and UM in the next 3 years. Should be fun. For the record, my sister went to FSU, and I tried to get into their film school at one point.
