Behind Closed Doors

I suppose BrianL will have to get one of those x-ray vision camera lenses to get photos of the now-closed-to-the-public Dolphins practices. But until the technology catches up we will have to endure text-based updates.
  • Sean Smith and Jason Allen are back at practice. Smith has jumped straight back to the first team.
  • Matt Roth is still not practicing, AND he's not wearing a baseball cap!!! Could it be he is airing out his head in prep for putting on a helmet?
  • Chris Williams apparently broke two bones in his hand according to his mother. She said his agent is trying to work out an injury settlement. So this isn't some sneaky ploy to keep him off of another team. My understanding of the rules is that once he settles with the team he is free to sign with another team as a free agent. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong about that.
  • It has been confirmed that both Andy Alleman and Ike Ndukwe have been traded to the KC Chiefs. You should see some of the comments on Chiefs blogs - these fans think they've just landed HOF players! I suppose anything's an upgrade when you're KC. According to one report, Alleman will compete for a starting tackle position. Yikes...
  • WR sets: 1st - Ted Ginn/Brian Hartline; 2nd - Davone Bess/Greg Camarillo; 3rd - Brandon London/Patrick Turner; 4th - James Robinson/Anthony Armstrong; Parking Lot - Chris Williams/Ernest Wilford.
  • According to Jeff Darlington: "[Chris] Williams suffered the injury when trying to return a punt that bounced off his facemask."

LOL @ the Chiefs fans. Now that's a team that is rebuilding and one very expensive piece DT Glenn Dorsey isn't playing so well and doesn't seem to fit in the 3-4 scheme they're trying to implement. OUCH!

Tin, what's your guess on the compensation for Alleman and Ndukewe? I'd say if Ayodele and Fasano were for a 4th rounder maybe it's a 5th.

Tin, Williams' mother said he broke his hand on the first punt return.

  4. One man's trash is another man's treasure......

We were where they are last year. They actually may be worse off.

Good luck to them both hopefully we get a 5th or 6th for them.

  6. As tempting as it is you could view the whole practice field from the top of the neighboring parking garage (see pictue in header). I wouldnt feel right taking pics and posting them for fear of tripping up the team and the grand scheme of things.

Looks like the TURK had a busy morning this morning.  LOL

Ralph, I think KC is in worse shape then us. They didn't have many 3-4 talent where we did because of Saban. Their OL got real old and now they're real young.

Ralph, I think KC is in worse shape then we were in 07. They didn't have much 3-4 talent where we did because of Saban. Their OL got real old and now they're real young. It's going to take them a few years to get back.

I wonder if Chief's fans even knew who Alleman and Ndukwe were before the trade? LOL

  20. *off topic*
Did anyone see Keyshawn Johnson's latest endeavor?  I was channel surfing Saturday and stumbled upon "Tackling Design" I think its called.  Basically another show where a family gets a room makeover in their home, only the designer is Keyshawn.  I have to admit he did ok, IMO, based on the people he was dealing with(parents unable to make any decisions, letting a child veto paint colors, furniture).  For some reason it was hilarious hearing him use words like window treatment.
