Monday, oh what a Fun Day!

Sometimes coincidences come in bunches and you feel like you're in the Twilight Zone. Such is the case for me today. First, after posting the Donald Thomas article on Friday, I visited the Sun-Sentinel today to find that Mike Berardino posted a blog with a link to the same article three days later, on Monday. No big deal, it's happened before and will again.

But then this afternoon, the Palm Beach Post blogger, Edgar Thompson posted a new blog entitled, "Fins Bits." Fins Bits? Sounds an awful lot like Tins Bits, doesn't it? Ok, no big deal, maybe a coincidence, maybe he's been using that title regularly and I've never noticed it before (for the record, my Tins Bits is a play on the word tidbits, i.e. a small tasty bit of food or information. I fail to see what a Fins Bit is unless it's the thing they put in a horse's mouth, only adapted for dolphins so that people can ride them).

But anyway, just thought it was a bit odd, as I found myself feeling uninspired as far as the blog went today, that maybe I was providing inspiration to other blogs instead. ;)

And now, time for some Tinnamon Candy (click here)!

  1. Hey Tin,

Check out PFT.  The Raiders just cut their 6th-Round Draft pick for no apparent reason.  Missouri DE Stryker Sulak, a sold player.  Al Davis is more nuts than we thought.

  2. Jerry, I already blogged about it yesterday. If we we weren't so full at
OLB I'd be interested in taking a swing at him.

Did this Stryker Sulak do something to violate team policy or some professional code? How do you cut a draft pick before training camp?

All I can think is that Stryker Sulak must be happy today. Now he can go work out for a pro team.

  5. I went and checked the raiders roster and Sulak is still on it and there's
no mention of the released players. but the signing of greg ellis probably
    didn't help.

Oh, shows how often I go there, and for what it's worth Tin I think he is ripping you off, most of these guys got nothin'. Also, don't stop using "Tin's Bits" as a feature name it suits you much better than Edgar.

  9. I have no intention of stopping using Tin's Bits - like I said, my play on
words makes sense, and no body else is using the word 'Tin' in a football
blog. At least I doubt it.
