Monday's Bits and Pieces [updated]

  • Dolphins' Head Coach, Tony Sparano, was hospitalized following the Baltimore loss. I think he contracted something from those disease-addled fans that showed up outside Dolphins HQ the following day.
  • Did you know Sparano DID actually receive a coaching award? It happened to be at the Super Bowl Weekend (did you know the Super Bowl was this past weekend?)
  • In confirmation that 24 hour television and 500 channels is a bad idea, ESPN aired four hours of teenagers playing Madden on Xbox this weekend. They managed to fly a couple of hundred pimply thug wanna-be's to a tropical paradise, but didn't have anything left in the budget to buy two chairs for the contestants to sit on. If any of you watched even a minute of this garbage, I know how you feel, and I feel for you. However, it's nice to know that while Pennington is probably having a meeting somewhere, Matt Cassel is wasting his time learning how to play with his thumbs.
  • Who's the OTHER team in the AFC East? Oh, right! Buffalo. Marshawn Lynch was ALSO at the Madden competition. Don't worry, I won't post a link to Lynch. No one wants to see him without a helmet on.
